Aircraft Mechanic, F-35 - Level 3

About the position

The position involves performing launch and recovery activities, as well as maintenance on all systems of the F-35 aircraft to ensure they are mechanically sound and safe for flight. The role requires the candidate to conduct inspections, servicing, and maintenance in compliance with directives, while also providing on-the-job training to new team members. The candidate must be adaptable to work various shifts and be prepared for temporary duty assignments on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Perform launch and recovery activities for the F-35 aircraft.
• Conduct maintenance, inspections, and servicing on all aircraft systems.
• Obtain special certifications as required (e.g., confined space, borescope).
• Execute Field-Level Modifications and Time Compliance Technical Data (TCTD) maintenance actions.
• Provide On-The-Job Training (OJT) to newly hired team members and maintainers.
• Maintain and update aircraft records and status in compliance with directives.
• Work various shifts on short notice and be available for temporary duty assignments.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping practices.

Requirements

• Three years' experience in USAF aircraft maintenance or equivalent military aircraft maintenance experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.

• Experience with the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS)

• Low Observable (LO) repair and maintenance experience

• Avionics troubleshooting and repair experience
• Experience as a task trainer.
