About the position

The Aircraft Mechanic II - A&P position at AAR is designed for experienced aircraft maintenance technicians, particularly those with A&P certifications or significant aviation maintenance experience. This role involves performing intermediate to heavy maintenance tasks on aircraft, ensuring compliance with safety and airworthiness standards, and maintaining accurate records. The position requires a commitment to quality and safety in a dynamic work environment at Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City.

Responsibilities

  • Perform intermediate/heavy maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Conduct basic aircraft maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks under supervision.
  • Ensure aircraft are maintained in accordance with Airworthiness Standards.
  • Utilize FAA approved/accepted data proficiently.
  • Maintain records in compliance with FAA and company requirements.
  • Perform airframe repairs while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
  • Read and follow technical publications, schematics, and mechanical drawings.
  • Use a PC, iPad, and basic computer applications effectively.
  • Adhere to work schedule, punctuality, and self-motivation.
  • Complete additional job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 5 years of aviation maintenance experience.
  • Some general maintenance experience, including relevant experience outside of aviation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to skillfully use minimum required tools.
  • Fluent in English (speech, reading, writing).

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous maintenance experience with aircraft, including helicopters.
  • FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant license (A&P).
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations including 14 CFR.
