The Aircraft Mechanic position is essential to maintaining the airworthiness of our fleet, ensuring that all maintenance tasks are performed in accordance with established procedures and regulations. The A&P Mechanic will be responsible for performing routine, non-routine, and preventative maintenance on company aircraft, adhering to OAI manuals, manufacturers' manuals, and FAR regulations. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, as mechanics will sign off on work accomplished, troubleshoot deferred maintenance items, and ensure proper documentation of all maintenance tasks. The position also involves coordinating with Lead Mechanics and Maintenance Control to meet incoming aircraft, reviewing logbooks for discrepancies, and planning corrective actions as needed. In addition to technical skills, the role demands a commitment to safety and compliance with company policies. Mechanics will be expected to maintain a clean work area, represent the Maintenance Department professionally, and attend training courses as assigned. The position may require working 10-12 hour shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and involves some travel. Candidates must possess a valid A&P license and have a minimum of three years of line maintenance experience, preferably on B767/777 aircraft. Physical demands include the ability to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, and operate small tools and ground equipment.
