About the position

The Aircraft Pneudraulic Systems Mechanic position serves as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) responsible for testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying aircraft fuel distribution systems. The role includes training reservists in these tasks and ensuring the operational integrity of aircraft fuel systems.

Responsibilities

  • Receives work documents or oral instructions regarding problems with aircraft fuel systems.
  • Troubleshoots integral fuel tanks using various test procedures to determine the source of fuel leaks.
  • Troubleshoots fuel cells to locate leaks.
  • Accomplishes modifications and prepares components for storage or shipment.
  • Uses a variety of common hand tools and powered tools to perform duties.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
  • Must be a current member of the AF Reserve or willing/qualified to join.
  • Ability to perform the work of an Aircraft Pneudraulic Systems Mechanic with little to no supervision.
  • Skill in the use of standard hand and power tools of the trade.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with aircraft pneudraulic systems.
  • Knowledge of safety and security requirements as outlined in applicable standards.
