The Aircraft Processor position at Lockheed Martin involves supporting the Troy, Alabama site by performing various tasks related to the assembly, maintenance, and repair of aircraft components. Responsibilities
- Work independently or as part of a team according to specifications and instructions.
- Assemble, disassemble, clean, tag, and store aircraft parts and components.
- Lubricate and grease aircraft as needed.
- Assist in evaluating, troubleshooting, and testing aircraft and components.
- Repair, modify, restore, reassemble, and reinstall aircraft components and associated hardware.
- Make necessary entries to aircraft forms and records.
- Select and operate aircraft support equipment and tools for maintenance tasks.
- Recommend alternative methods for performing assigned work when traditional methods are unavailable.
- Assist and instruct lower-grade processors in job knowledge and techniques.
- Determine corrective actions and/or improved processes as needed.
- Perform related tasks such as hazardous material handling and general housekeeping.
- Follow all environmental health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Knowledge of decimals and fractions and the use of variable measuring instruments.
- Experience with a variety of hand tools and knowledge of assembly, fitting, and installation methods.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
Nice-to-haves
- 1 to 2 years working in aviation repair or other mechanical, sheet metal, or fabrication-related industry.
