As an Airfield Electrical Engineer, you will be involved in various aspects of aviation projects, primarily airport-related facilities, which encompass roadway systems, access control, and the design and construction of aviation infrastructure. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership qualities, possess the ability to work effectively as a team member or independently, and have a strong desire to learn new skills and expand their areas of expertise. Your role will include participating in the planning, design, and construction of airfield lighting and navigational aid projects, as well as performing electrical-related design tasks in support of project and design managers. Typical projects will require you to prepare bidding documents, including plans and specifications that cover lighting layout, site development, power distribution, lighting controls, electrical facilities, airfield navigational aids, signage, and coordination with other disciplines. You will also be responsible for quantity takeoffs, design reports, cost estimates, and construction scheduling. Additionally, you will perform, assist, or oversee construction-related tasks, including on-site construction observation and project engineering, ensuring that projects are executed to the highest standards.
