About the position

Participate in the maintenance and repair of airport equipment and surrounding property and facilities; perform snow removal from airfield runways, taxiways and terminal areas; operate pavement maintenance equipment to repair airfield surfaces and perform a variety of maintenance tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility. This is a safety sensitive position subject to random drug/alcohol testing. Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair airport equipment and surrounding property and facilities.
• Perform snow removal from airfield runways, taxiways, and terminal areas.
• Operate pavement maintenance equipment to repair airfield surfaces.
• Perform a variety of maintenance tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two (2) years of experience in construction, paving, or facilities/grounds maintenance.
• Possession of a valid New Mexico Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class A or B.
• Possession of a valid City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.
• Ability to qualify for and maintain a Sunport Access Control Card as per Aviation Department and TSA guidelines.
• Successful completion of a security background check conducted by U.S. Customs & Border Protection, if applicable.
