About the position

The Airflow and Python Developer with Cloud Experience will primarily focus on developing and maintaining data pipelines using Apache Airflow and Python. This role requires a strong background in software development, particularly with Airflow and DAGs, and familiarity with NodeJS as a secondary skill. The position is contract-based and requires onsite presence in Hartford, CT three times a week, with relocation options available for candidates.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data pipelines using Apache Airflow and Python.
• Implement and manage DAGs for workflow orchestration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop scalable services.
• Monitor and ensure observability of data pipelines and services.
• Work with various database solutions including SQL and NoSQL.
• Develop GraphQL APIs to support data access and manipulation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of NodeJS development with TypeScript.
• 2+ years of Cloud Experience, preferably with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• 1+ year of experience in an Agile-based development environment using CI/CD and TDD.
• Strong experience with monitoring and observability and building scalable services.
• Understanding of various database solutions (SQL, NoSQL).
• Experience developing GraphQL APIs.

• Exposure to product/services development in cloud-based platforms (i.e. Azure, Google Cloud Platform, AWS).
• Excellent verbal, written communication, and collaboration skills.

• Professional experience with PostGres SQL on AWS.
