The Airframe Structural Analysis Engineer will be responsible for conducting structural analysis of airframe components and systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards. This role involves utilizing advanced engineering software tools such as Catia and Nastran to perform finite element analysis (FEA) and other analytical methods to evaluate the structural integrity of aircraft components. The engineer will work closely with design teams to provide feedback on design modifications and improvements based on analysis results. Additionally, the engineer will be involved in the development of test plans and the interpretation of test data to validate analytical predictions. This position requires a strong understanding of materials, loads, and structural behavior, as well as the ability to communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The successful candidate will also participate in cross-functional teams to address engineering challenges and contribute to the overall success of the project. This includes collaborating with manufacturing and quality assurance teams to ensure that the designs can be produced and maintained effectively. The engineer will be expected to stay current with industry standards and best practices in structural analysis and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department. This role is critical in ensuring that the airframe structures meet all regulatory requirements and performance expectations, ultimately contributing to the safety and reliability of the aircraft.
