About the position

SkyWest Airlines is seeking dedicated Airport Agents to join our team in Salina, Kansas. As an Airport Agent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring excellent customer service while performing a variety of tasks that are essential to the smooth operation of our airline. Your primary responsibilities will include ticketing and re-booking passengers, boarding flights, assisting passengers with special needs, and resolving customer concerns. You will be the face of SkyWest, interacting with passengers and ensuring their travel experience is positive and seamless. In this role, you will be responsible for loading and unloading customer luggage, airfreight, and company mail on and off the aircraft. You will greet passengers, issue tickets, provide seat assignments, check baggage, and board flights, all while maintaining a prompt and friendly demeanor. Additionally, you will escort passengers and special needs customers safely and courteously, marshal aircraft in and out of the ramp area, and service aircraft as needed. Responsibilities

  • Load/unload customer luggage, airfreight, and company mail on/off aircraft
  • Greet passengers, issue tickets, provide seat assignments, check baggage, board flights, assist customers that arrive without their luggage, and re-book passengers all in a prompt and friendly manner
  • Escort passengers and special needs customers safely and courteously
  • Marshal aircraft in and out of the ramp area
  • Service aircraft as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess a valid unrestricted state-issued driver's license
  • High school diploma or completion of a GED
  • Pass a background check and drug screening
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Basic knowledge of fundamental computer programs for record-keeping and baggage routing
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and time management skills
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Flexible schedule allowing work during nights, weekends, and holidays
