Requirements

  • Equivalent to graduation from high school.
  • Three years of full-time general clerical experience, including one year operating a switchboard with multiple trunk lines.
  • Experience as a DOA Public Service Assistant or Airport Parking Attendant may be considered.
  • Possession of a valid Nevada Class C driver's license may be required for specified positions.
  • Ability to work extended shifts and be called back in emergency situations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a centralized telephone switchboard with multiple trunk lines and extensions.
  • Connect internal and external callers to appropriate team members or departments.
  • Act as the initial contact for the traveling public, providing factual information and airport paging services.
  • Provide customer service in person to support Landside security and traffic patrol.
  • Patrol parking garages, surface lots, and curbs on foot and by vehicle.
  • Assist team members and others in using the telephone system and provide clerical support.
  • Maintain logs of various types of calls and facilitate airport work orders using support software.
  • Direct guests to the proper person or take messages as required.
  • Perform ancillary work related to parking operations, including processing payments and issuing citations.
  • Monitor security cameras and assist with emergency situations in parking areas.
