About the position

The Airport Manager at JFK will lead the Qantas team in one of its most strategic overseas ports, focusing on operational management, customer service delivery, and safety. This permanent full-time position requires the ability to work rotating shifts and weekends, with a salary range of $100,000 to $120,000. The role involves overseeing both above and below wing operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and driving continuous improvement in airport performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the airport's operations and customer service delivery.
• Ensure safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement local strategies while adhering to corporate policies.
• Manage operational targets, financial budgets, and cost controls.
• Maintain positive relationships with airport authorities and stakeholders.
• Analyze and evaluate existing business processes for improvement.

Requirements

• Operational and managerial experience at a senior level in a large service environment.
• Demonstrated experience in an operational area within the airline industry.
• Concise understanding of operational, safety, security, and emergency procedures.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and grow the airport team.
• Proven communication and negotiation skills with government and service providers.
• Knowledge of aviation security regulations and industry issues.

• Extensive knowledge of CASA, TSA, CBP, CDC, DOT & FAA regulations.
