About The Position

The Airport Operations and Compliance Representative I (Landside) is responsible for ensuring that airport operations comply with Federal, State, and Local regulations. This entry-level position involves monitoring passenger flow, coordinating emergency responses, and performing daily facility checks to maintain safety and compliance. The role requires effective communication with various stakeholders and the ability to make decisions under pressure while working shifts that may include weekends and holidays.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of management practices, policies, and procedures necessary for daily responsibilities.
  • Understanding of basic airport operations, policies, and emergency procedures.
  • Familiarity with airport physical layout and utility systems for inspection purposes.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to supervise and train others on safety instructions.
  • Skills in performing inspections and reporting accurately.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to assess operations and identify deviations or hazards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and computer usage.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret federal regulations and related materials.
  • Good organizational, management, human relations, and technical skills.

  • Experience in airport operations or regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarity with the National Incident Management System.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and coordinates passenger flow daily through the airport's Security Screening Checkpoints.
  • Coordinates with Airport Stakeholders to manage Security Screening Checkpoint queue lines.
  • Performs daily checks of the airport's terminals, concourses, parking lots, curbsides, and access roadways for compliance.
  • Initiates work orders with appropriate agencies as needed.
  • Assists in emergency response activities and coordinates resolution according to Airport Emergency Procedures.
  • Works with Tenants, Federal and Local agencies, and the traveling public on a daily basis.
  • Provides operational guidance to Guest Relations Staff.
  • Prepares and disseminates significant reports to executives, airport agencies, and tenants.
  • Repairs Landside Operations crowd control equipment to ensure operational readiness.
  • Enforces City codes, lease agreements, federal regulations, and departmental guidelines.
