About The Position

The Airport Operations Manager at College Park Airport is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, security, and administration of the airport, ensuring compliance with aviation regulations and safety standards. This role involves managing staff, coordinating with various aviation agencies, and facilitating the safe and efficient operation of the airport and its related airspace.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Aviation Management, Airport Management, or related field.
• Four years of progressively responsible experience in airport management.
• Valid driver's license without restrictions or points.
• Valid private pilot's license.
• American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) Certification required within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations and airport security.
• Supervise and administer duties for the airport facility.
• Conduct inspections of the airport grounds and buildings for compliance with regulations.
• Notify FAA regarding operational status of the airport with a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM).
• Select, train, and evaluate airport staff, including event planning staff.
• Monitor contractors, vendors, and other professionals for airport improvements and maintenance.
• Develop and administer the annual budget request for the airport.
• Track and review daily airfield logs and incident reports.
• Serve as the airport liaison with aviation agencies and community groups.
• Investigate and respond to complaints and public inquiries.
