About the position

The Airport Operations position at the City of Waco is an entry-level role focused on coordinating the use of airport facilities while ensuring compliance with various federal and local regulations. The position is essential for maintaining safety and security at the airport, performing a range of operational duties under the guidance of the Airport Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the use of airport facilities in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Maintain airport compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Part 139 and Transportation Security Regulation (TSR) Part 1542.
• Ensure adherence to City of Waco Ordinances and other applicable statutes and regulations.
• Perform wildlife hazard management and manage Notices to Air Missions (NOTAMS).
• Oversee work order management and the Airport Emergency Plan.
• Conduct fueling inspections and participate in emergency response activities.
• Implement requirements of the Airport Security Program, including badging, audits, access control, and video monitoring.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain a Texas Driver License.
• Must be able to pass a TSA Background Screening.
