This includes the terminals, Air Operations Area, and the entire airport complex. The position does not involve supervisory responsibilities. Officers will be required to provide law enforcement support to airlines, vendors, tenants, passengers, and TSA operations. Officers will respond to emergency situations, investigate incidents such as traffic accidents and alarms, and prepare detailed reports on various occurrences. The role requires physical activity, including standing, walking, twisting, kneeling, and potentially running, as well as the handling of firearms and modern police equipment in emergency scenarios. Candidates must successfully complete the San Antonio Airport Police Academy, which operates Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Upon successful completion of the academy, officers will be assigned to shifts based on seniority.
