The Airport Revenue Chief for the City of Atlanta is a senior-level management position responsible for providing policy direction and strategic planning for the Airport's revenue cycle. This includes overseeing revenue generation, budgeting, forecasting, and the execution of sound fiscal policies. The role requires a high level of strategic and operational management, reporting directly to a top department executive or a department deputy. The position is pivotal in managing the primary functions of the department and involves recommending operating policies and procedures that are subject to executive approval. In this role, the Airport Revenue Chief will provide strategic input into policy and strategy while driving tactical direction. The individual will develop economic and financial trending data, metrics, and reports, ensuring that billing databases are accurate for the airport's stakeholders. The Chief will also review revenues, accounts receivables, general ledger, and financial statements, ensuring that the Airport's rates and charges allow for full cost recovery. Additionally, the Chief will lead the preparation of the annual external audit and manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end fiscal close processes. The position also involves reviewing legislation and contract agreements to assess their fiscal impact on the Airport, developing operating plans, forecasts, and reporting systems, and managing the annual revenue budget preparation, submittal, and administration. The Airport Revenue Chief will be responsible for selecting, training, developing, and managing staff, establishing internal processes, and interpreting and applying organizational policies. This role is characterized by a high degree of leadership, with formal supervisory authority over a work group typically consisting of at least 4-5 direct reports.
