About the position

The University of California, Davis School of Medicine is seeking a full-time faculty member for the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at the Assistant/Associate Professor rank. This role focuses on the management and treatment of chronic airway diseases such as COPD and asthma, with responsibilities in clinical care, teaching, and research. Faculty members are expected to engage in professional activities, contribute to the growth of clinical services, and participate in educational initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient care for patients with chronic airway disease.
  • Deliver inpatient care, including pulmonary consults and critical care on the MICU service.
  • Collaborate with medical leads of the COPD and Asthma Programs to enhance clinical service lines and research initiatives.
  • Manage patients with advanced COPD and asthma, including evaluations for biologics and endobronchial valve candidacy.
  • Teach and supervise medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Participate in professional societies and educational organizations.
  • Contribute to department and school committees.
