About the position

As an AIS Operations Processing Specialist at Associated Bank, you will play a crucial role in processing paperwork for new brokerage accounts, direct mutual funds, annuities, and life business, as well as handling maintenance requests. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all paperwork is completed accurately and in accordance with established procedures and service standards. You will serve as a vital resource for front-office colleagues, providing support and guidance on operational procedures, processes, and guidelines. Maintaining effective working relationships with partners and customers is essential to ensure quick resolution of transaction errors and problems. In this role, you will review new account documents and disclosures submitted for various accounts, ensuring compliance with CIP/BSA/AML policies. You will communicate promptly with colleagues regarding any not in good order (NIGO) work items, ensuring timely resolution. Additionally, you will process all account maintenance and service requests accurately and in a timely manner, maintaining high service standards. Your responsibilities will also include providing exceptional support to front-office colleagues regarding operational procedures, broker/dealer product offerings, and systems. You will review trades for compliance violations, accurately releasing or rejecting trades as necessary. Processing checks and physical securities in accordance with regulatory requirements will be part of your duties, as well as following up on new accounts to ensure accurate opening and funding. You will identify higher potential risk transactions and ensure they are processed correctly, while also drafting and updating functional desk-top procedures and providing training to new colleagues.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Financial Services is required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Financial Services is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Brokerage is preferred.
  • Series 7-Stockbroker Exam within 2 years is preferred.
  • Series 66 License within 2 years is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with compliance and operational rules in a brokerage environment.
