About the position

The Aisles Online Shopper at Hy-Vee is responsible for selecting high-quality products for online grocery orders, ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient service and accurate order fulfillment. This role emphasizes customer interaction, product selection, and adherence to company policies while working in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern, and patience in all customer interactions.
• Greets customers in a friendly manner and makes an effort to learn their names.
• Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, and loading or unloading heavy items.
• Answers telephone and emails promptly, providing friendly and helpful service to customers.
• Accurately selects groceries ordered online by customers, ensuring the highest quality of produce, meat, and other fresh products.
• Selects, scans, and bags items from all temperature zones while adhering to company policies.
• Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
• Tenders customer orders through POS and charges the customer's credit card.
• Ensures products maintain proper temperature throughout the order process and places them in the holding area for pick-up.
• Monitors incoming online orders to ensure prompt, on-time fulfillment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Ability to identify problems and develop solutions.
• Well organized, able to multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
