About the position

The Aisles Online Shopper at Hy-Vee is responsible for selecting high-quality products for online grocery orders, ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers. This role involves accurately picking groceries, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining product quality throughout the order fulfillment process.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern, and patience in all customer interactions.
• Greets customers in a friendly manner and makes an effort to learn their names.
• Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, and loading heavy items.
• Answers telephone and emails promptly, providing helpful service to customers.
• Accurately selects groceries ordered online by customers, ensuring the highest quality of produce and other fresh products.
• Selects, scans, and bags items from all temperature zones while adhering to company policies.
• Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
• Tenders customer orders through POS and charges the customer's credit card.
• Ensures products maintain proper temperature throughout the order process and places them in the holding area for pick-up.
• Monitors incoming online orders to ensure prompt fulfillment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Ability to identify problems and develop solutions.
• Well organized, able to multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
