About the position

The AISR Controller - Tier I position at Trace Systems involves supporting the Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (AISR) Operations Support Center. The role is primarily responsible for managing and resolving AISR transport issues, ensuring the availability and health of critical ISR assets, and providing situational awareness to the AISR community. The AISR Controller acts as the first level incident manager, coordinating with various stakeholders to restore services and report on mission impacts.

Responsibilities

  • Support the AISR Operations Support Center by managing ISR assets and transport issues.
  • Function as the end-to-end AISR call center and first level incident manager for transport issues.
  • Triage network/system issues and identify actions to restore service.
  • Escalate issues to the appropriate tier II technician/service desk as needed.
  • Track and report restoration efforts and mission impacts to DISA Global leadership.
  • Maintain situational awareness of critical AISR transport systems and report their health and status.
  • Assess and report unscheduled outages to the DISA Global watch desk.
  • Provide near-real time situational awareness to the AISR community using government collaboration tools.
  • Disseminate relevant AISR information and coordinate scheduled maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance.
  • US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
  • A minimum of two to four years of related experience in a similar role.
  • Basic knowledge of IP circuits and routers is essential.
  • DoD 8570 IAT-II certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA-Security) is required to start.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to multi-task and manage/prioritize workload effectively.
  • Experience in monitoring multiple Network Monitoring Systems.
  • Proficiency in fielding customer calls via unclassified and classified phone systems.
  • Experience maintaining situational awareness via classified chat rooms.
  • Ability to perform advanced troubleshooting and network analysis.
  • Experience executing alt-route actions on high priority circuits.
