About the position

The Alarm Install Technician is responsible for the installation and servicing of security monitoring systems in residential and commercial settings. This role requires a technician with a mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently, ensuring high-quality service and maintaining inventory effectively. The technician will work primarily from their own vehicle, performing installations of various security systems including CCTV, access control, and fire alarm systems, while also providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Install and service security monitoring systems in residential and commercial settings.
  • Handle installations of CCTV, surveillance cameras, access control systems, and wireless keypads.
  • Program security systems such as Brivo, CCTV, IP Cameras, and fire alarm systems.
  • Maintain inventory with a target of 98% accuracy, collecting inventory weekly and undergoing quarterly checks.
  • Drive to job sites using personal vehicle, ensuring it can accommodate necessary equipment like a 6 ft ladder.
  • Participate in training sessions with current technicians for 2-3 days.
  • Work a minimum of 40 hours per week, primarily from Tuesday to Saturday.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in home security installation or troubleshooting systems.
  • Experience with installing and servicing security monitoring systems in commercial settings.
  • Familiarity with programming security systems such as Brivo, CCTV, IP Cameras, and fire alarm systems.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently with limited direction.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
  • Experience with low voltage systems and troubleshooting.
