About the position

The Task Force General Manager is responsible for acting as the General Manager at assigned hotels during vacancies or leaves. This role also involves providing support to JL Hospitality Management on various projects and assignments when not assigned to a specific property. The position requires a hands-on approach to hotel operations, associate development, and quality assurance, ensuring adherence to brand standards and operational procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day hotel operations and associate development.
  • Ensure adherence to Marriott brand standards and JL Hospitality Management SOPs.
  • Work effectively with JL Hospitality Management leaders across all disciplines.
  • Create an environment for associates to reach their full potential through effective training and mentorship.
  • Monitor cleanliness, safety, security, product quality, and service through routine property inspections.
  • Facilitate creative solutions to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting to maximize hotel revenue and profit.
  • Engage in revenue management calls, sales calls, and leadership meetings as scheduled.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency with Fosse PMS system is a plus.
  • Previous experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager in a Marriott branded hotel is preferred.
