About the position

The Part-Time Store Cashier/Stocker at ALDI is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while managing cashier duties and stocking merchandise. This role requires collaboration with team members and adherence to company policies to ensure a smooth shopping experience for customers. The position offers a starting wage of $18.50 per hour with scheduled increases over the years, and it involves both cashier and stocker responsibilities, including inventory management and maintaining store cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Processes customer purchases and performs general cleaning duties.
• Stocks shelves and merchandise displays neatly.
• Provides exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their shopping experience.
• Provides feedback to management on products, inventory losses, and general issues.
• Participates in taking store inventory counts and monitoring inventory for accuracy.
• Adheres to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses.
• Stocks shelves and rotates product properly to guarantee fresh product availability.
• Follows merchandising planograms to create excellently merchandised displays.
• Organizes new inventory and removes empty boxes.
• Operates machinery and follows all safety procedures.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Ability to perform general cleaning duties to company standards.
• Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
• Effective time management skills.
• Knowledge of products and services of the company.
• Ability to operate a cash register efficiently and accurately.
• Comply with state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.
• Ability to operate equipment safely and properly, including electric/manual hand jack, floor scrubber, and cardboard baler.

Nice-to-haves
