About the position

The Oracle Health Data and Analytics Platform is seeking an energetic and experienced Algorithm Content Designer to join our team. This role is pivotal in designing population health algorithms that aim to measure and enhance the quality of care for millions of patients utilizing our platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting regulatory quality measurement specifications from external entities and translating these into clear, unambiguous engineering requirements for our software development teams. This ensures that the requirements align with the platform's data model and terminology systems, facilitating effective communication and implementation across teams. In this position, you will play a crucial role in reducing communication inefficiencies between content and engineering teams. You will perform data analysis and profiling proactively to ensure that the engineering requirements function as intended with real-world data. Familiarity with relational databases and SQL is advantageous, as strong data analytics skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel, are essential. The ability to communicate clearly and precisely with various roles, including clinicians and engineers, is vital for success in this role. This position is classified as an Individual Contributor Level 3 (IC3), indicating a mid-level role that requires a combination of technical expertise and collaborative skills to drive the development of high-quality health analytics solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret regulatory quality measurement specifications and create internal engineering requirements for our software development team.
  • Write clear, unambiguous engineering requirements that meet the intent of the regulatory specifications while aligning with the internal realities of the Oracle Health platform.
  • Reduce communication inefficiencies between content and engineering teams.
  • Perform data analysis and profiling preemptively to ensure that engineering requirements will function as intended with real-world data.

Requirements

  • Experience in designing algorithms for population health.
  • Strong data analytics skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with relational databases and SQL is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and deductive reasoning skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and precisely with different roles and across teams, including clinicians and engineers.
