About the position
The Algorithm Development Scientist will focus on designing instrumentation and methods for acquiring and analyzing diffuse optical spectroscopic data, specifically for noninvasive tissue oxygenation and blood flow measurements. The role involves enhancing the depth sensitivity of optical signals, implementing signal processing techniques, and developing hemodynamic models to extract physiological parameters from optical data. This position is a full-time opportunity that requires collaboration and a strong background in algorithm development, particularly in the context of optics.
Responsibilities
- Design instrumentation and methods for acquiring and analyzing diffuse optical spectroscopic data.
- Develop methods to enhance depth sensitivity of optical signals.
- Implement time- and frequency-domain signal processing on optical data.
- Develop hemodynamic models to extract tissue blood flow and physiological parameters from optical signals.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in algorithm development, preferably 5+ years.
- Experience with modeling optical simulations.
- Utilizing diffuse optics and experience using photons with moving fluids.
- Expertise in physiological data analysis and modeling methods.
- Curiosity and a desire to learn emerging technologies.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
