The Algorithm Engineer for Home and Audio Devices will play a pivotal role in creating innovative sensing-based experiences for future home and audio products. This position requires a genuine passion for innovation and product development, with a focus on the entire product lifecycle from inception to delivery. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with various teams, including architecture, human experience, firmware, software, and electrical and mechanical engineering, to define and create unique sensing experiences for a range of upcoming products. In the concept design phase, the Algorithm Engineer will be responsible for driving and creating product requirements, identifying optimal hardware solutions, and designing software algorithms. This role also involves overseeing the integration and tuning of sensors within the product to ensure the highest quality execution. The candidate will need to leverage their broad knowledge of sensing devices and technologies, as well as firmware and algorithm capabilities, to transform sensors into meaningful user experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in algorithm design, particularly in areas such as classification, noise modeling, signal processing, statistical analysis, and machine learning. They will also have experience in data analysis and visualization, using tools like Python and MATLAB, and will be adept at presenting conclusions drawn from complex data. Additionally, the role requires the ability to implement solutions in embedded or resource-constrained systems using C/C++ in production environments. The candidate should be eager to learn about new sensing technologies and evaluate their user impact and performance, with a willingness to travel domestically and internationally for development and on-site manufacturing support.
