About the position

The position involves creating innovative sensing-based experiences for future Home and Audio products at Apple. The candidate will collaborate closely with various teams, including architecture, human experience, firmware, software, and engineering, to define and develop product requirements and solutions. The role emphasizes the integration and tuning of sensors to ensure high-quality execution in product development.

Responsibilities

• Drive and create requirements during the concept design of products.
• Identify the best hardware solutions available for sensing technologies.
• Design software algorithms for sensor integration.
• Oversee overall sensor integration and tuning in products.
• Collaborate with architecture, human experience, firmware, software, and engineering teams to create sensing experiences.

Requirements

• M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in algorithm design for classification, noise modeling/filtering, signal processing, statistical analysis, and machine learning.
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization using Python and/or MATLAB.
• Experience implementing solutions in embedded or resource-constrained systems using C/C++ in production environments.
• Ability to learn and evaluate new sensing technologies such as IMU, capacitive, environmental, light, motion, radar, optical, and acoustic.
