About the position

KLA is seeking a motivated engineer to join the elite algorithm group within the reticle product division (RAPID). This role focuses on developing algorithms for KLA's innovative inspection platforms, utilizing skills in image processing, computer vision, and software engineering. The position emphasizes independent work, creativity, and collaboration with hardware teams to enhance image quality and performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop optical imaging modeling/calibration for KLA inspection systems.
• Create image segmentation, classification, or detection algorithms.
• Abstract specific tasks into generic mathematical problems and find customized algorithm solutions.
• Develop production code and provide necessary support.
• Provide recommendations to the hardware group on image quality and error budget based on algorithm design and performance.

Requirements

• PhD, MS, or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
• Doctorate degree with 0 years of related work experience; Master's degree with 3 years of related work experience; Bachelor's degree with 5 years of related work experience.
• Significant experience in C++ production software development and object-oriented programming.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
