About the position
Our client is looking for a highly skilled Alibaba Cloud Expert to join their team on a 16-month contract with the potential to extend or convert to a full-time employee. This position is 100% remote and requires a strong focus on Alibaba Cloud design principles and best practices. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud design and architecture, particularly with Alibaba Cloud services and solutions, as well as proficiency in Terraform. The team is responsible for building the infrastructure to support a new application being developed in China. The selected resource will act as a liaison between the teams in China and the US, ensuring that the design aligns with the requirements of both regions. The candidate will be tasked with putting everything in code and ensuring that the architecture is appropriate for the US teams. This role requires a deep understanding of Alibaba Cloud holistically, as well as the ability to monitor and optimize cloud performance to ensure high availability and reliability. In addition to technical skills, the candidate must possess excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong communication and collaboration skills. Staying updated with the latest trends and best practices in cloud computing and Alibaba Cloud services is essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient cloud architectures using Alibaba Cloud.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud solutions into applications.
- Monitor and optimize cloud performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Provide technical guidance and support for cloud-related projects.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in cloud computing and Alibaba Cloud services.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or similar role, with a focus on Alibaba Cloud.
- Strong understanding of cloud design principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in Alibaba Cloud services such as ECS, RDS, OSS, and VPC.
- Experience with cloud security, networking, and automation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
