About the position

The PM Shift Hotel Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning, restocking, and maintaining hotel rooms and public spaces. This role requires working from 12pm to 8pm, including weekends, to ensure that all areas meet hotel standards and provide a pleasant experience for guests.

Responsibilities

• Receive list of assigned rooms from manager and prioritize rooms for early cleaning.
• Check inventory of cleaning cart and add necessary supplies.
• Knock and announce self before entering rooms; return later if rooms are occupied.
• Remove soiled linens, towels, bedspreads, and blankets from assigned rooms and provide fresh replacements.
• Make beds and stock towels, washcloths, and hand towels according to policies.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms and kitchenette or coffee-preparation areas according to hotel policies.
• Notify management of missing utensils and ensure replacements.
• Wipe surfaces in rooms and clean mirrors.
• Vacuum floors and remove trash.
• Check and restock complimentary coffee, snack, and toiletry supplies in rooms according to hotel checklist and policy.
• Ensure rooms meet hotel standards with a final walkaround.
• Notify supervisor of room availability and report any suspicious activity to security.
• Launder soiled linens, including loading hotel washers and dryers and folding sheets and towels as needed.
• Notify maintenance of needed repairs.
• Take found items to designated lost and found area if guests have checked out.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Sufficient education and literacy to identify and read product labels and communicate with guests.
• Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in basic English preferred.
• Detail-oriented and thorough.
• Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guests.
• Ability to perform consistent work to the highest standards.
• Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant, friendly way.
