About the position

The Program Manager II at Franklin Energy / AM Conservation is responsible for managing multiple energy efficiency programs, ensuring that client goals are met while overseeing program operations, budgets, and team development. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders, as well as a commitment to diversity and inclusion within the workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple or joint energy efficiency programs with limited support from senior leadership.
  • Oversee all aspects of an energy program, working closely with clients and energy professionals.
  • Provide client communications and reporting.
  • Ensure client requirements are met through program operations oversight.
  • Support partner and client contract management processes.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with community engagement opportunities.
  • Lead and support company-wide safety efforts.
  • Orchestrate partnership and collaboration between centralized functions and program staff.
  • Identify and develop talent within the team.
  • Develop and deliver polished client presentations, responding to questions with confidence.
  • Monitor and manage program budgets to ensure full utilization of funds while meeting energy goals.
  • Prepare monthly invoices and activity reports as required.
  • Report on program performance and financial metrics to make recommendations to clients and utilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Background in engineering, technology, or science preferred.
  • Experience in lighting, HVAC, and other technologies preferred.
  • 4 or more years of management experience or 2 or more years managing energy efficiency programs.
  • Proven track record of high-level performance in meeting and exceeding expectations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Sales or business development background a plus.
