About the position

The Allergy Medical Assistant position at Michigan ENT & Allergy is a part-time role focused on providing efficient patient care in a supportive and growing healthcare environment. The role involves assisting with patient interactions, documentation, and various medical procedures, contributing to a team dedicated to high-quality healthcare services.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to the exam room
• Provide and coordinate efficient patient care while documenting the patients medical history and any other pertinent information related to their visit
• Ensure all documentation accurately reflects the patient encounter and plan of care
• Administer injections and perform PFTs as required
• Provide basic patient education and triage patient calls under the direction of the provider
• Schedule allergy testing and immunotherapy
• Perform allergy and penicillin testing, write prescriptions, and administer injections
• Sterilize, maintain, and restock exam rooms and instruments

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is required
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent customer service and computer skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Friendly, personable demeanor
• Detail oriented
• Ability to multi-task
• A minimum of one year experience in the medical field is preferred but not required
• Medical assistant certification is a plus, but not required
