About the position

The Alpha Implementation Manager at State Street is responsible for leading client implementations of the Alpha front-to-back servicing platform. This role requires strong project management skills, the ability to manage multiple client implementations simultaneously, and a deep understanding of investment management operations. The successful candidate will oversee solution design, implementation planning, and post-go-live activities, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and effective communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the client solution design, conversion approach, implementation plan, go-live, and post-go-live activities for clients on State Street's servicing platform.
  • Define services, service level agreements, and manage change control discussions with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with teams to share best practices and improve capabilities for client migrations.
  • Coordinate with a Model Office environment for testing and proof of concept purposes.
  • Organize and conduct implementation project status meetings, communicating updates to stakeholders including senior management.
  • Support delivery of high-priority projects across all project phases.
  • Conduct business analysis and requirements definition.
  • Track client feedback and incorporate it into the product roadmap as appropriate.
  • Work closely with Business, Data, and Solution Architecture teams to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Leverage business analysis frameworks to develop an integrated view of the business and drive strategic alignment across areas.
  • Assess and streamline processes with Global Delivery business units to mitigate risks and generate efficiencies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in investment operations, project management, client implementation, and/or business analysis.
  • Strong understanding of Investment Management Operations processes, technology, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in interacting with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills, particularly in process analysis.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience leading large-scale client conversions and onboarding efforts in the financial industry.
  • Knowledge of financial services products and processes, with experience in technology strategy or management consulting preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Extensive knowledge of State Street platforms including Alpha, Charles River, and RKS.
  • Experience integrating with other industry software providers for platform interoperability.
  • Experience designing new solutions by analyzing requirements and writing specifications.
