General Atomics is seeking a talented ALRE Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team in San Diego, California. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on first-of-a-kind product lines within the GA-EMS Systems Engineering department, specifically focusing on supporting the U.S. Navy Ford-class Aircraft Launch and Recovery (ALRE) carrier programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating requirements based on the U.S. Navy ALRE programs and adapting those requirements to meet foreign customer needs. This role requires a strong foundation in systems engineering principles, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including customers, contractors, and internal engineering groups. As an ALRE Systems Engineer, you will provide technical analyses and judgment using a systems engineering approach for the development of new configurations of the ALRE systems. You will coordinate and interface with customers and other business sectors within the organization, potentially representing the organization as the prime technical contact. Your responsibilities will also include assisting in the development of program plans, estimates, and schedules, as well as performing system analysis and generating requirements for subsystems, components, and software. You will support the development of test plans, procedures, and reports, and will be involved in the verification and validation of systems through qualification testing. In this role, you will be expected to develop and present technical material for design reviews, collaborating with subject matter experts to update design requirements.
