About the position

The Altra Technical Representative is a remote position focused on executing seasonal go-to-market and service strategies within the assigned territory of Georgia and Alabama. This role is essential for fostering growth and brand awareness through community engagement, retailer support, and product education. The representative will build lasting relationships with retailers and consumers to drive sales and increase market share for Altra products.

Responsibilities

  • Support retailers through in-person visits, demos, and working the sales floor.
  • Conduct clear and persuasive product presentations to educate and motivate retail staff and customers.
  • Engage with community and retail partners to create excitement and brand awareness around Altra.
  • Implement merchandising or promotional activations with product.
  • Represent Altra at local and select national events, races, and expos.
  • Complete detailed and accurate field activity reports via Repsly.
  • Maintain organization and appearance of field assets and demo shoes.
  • Uphold fiscal responsibility managing travel, expenses, promotional material, and seeds.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a related field (Run or Outdoor Specialty experience preferred).
  • Familiarity with the Altra product line preferred.
  • Strong time management, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well independently, as well as within a team.
  • Experience working directly with consumers, fitting, and selling technical footwear.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Outlook.
  • Self-motivated with the desire to show initiative and be proactive.
