The Aluminum Buyer position at Crown Cork & Seal USA, Inc. involves supporting the Aluminum Sourcing Manager and Director for North America in managing supply chain processes, inventory control, supplier relationships, and logistics. The role is crucial for optimizing supply chain efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring timely delivery of materials while maintaining compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Support the end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, production planning, and logistics.
  • Work with internal teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment with sourcing strategies.
  • Document business requirements and translate them into a supply plan.
  • Contribute to the optimization of supply chain efficiency and service levels.
  • Maintain and deploy inventory control procedures and monitor inventory data.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers for reliable material supply.
  • Coordinate with supplier logistics partners to optimize shipping routes and reduce costs.
  • Assist in sourcing projects, including cost analysis and supplier evaluations.
  • Provide administrative support to the Aluminum team and maintain procurement systems.
  • Generate routine reports on sourcing activities and supplier performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or operations.
  • Experience in managing inventory, logistics, or supplier relationships is preferred.
  • Proactive approach with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel/reporting and dashboarding.
