About the position

The Alumni & Donor Operations Support Coordinator plays a crucial role in fostering connections between Washington University and its community, including alumni, donors, parents, and students. This position is responsible for managing inquiries, ensuring effective communication, and maintaining the integrity of sensitive information while supporting the university's philanthropic efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple inbound communication channels for Engagement and Annual Giving Programs (EAGP).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries received through email and phone into the Alumni Association and Annual Fund inboxes and phone lines.
  • Proactively manage and respond to inquiries, ensuring prompt and efficient resolution of issues while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
  • Triage complex questions and requests, escalating as needed to appropriate colleagues throughout University Advancement or within WashU departments.
  • Communicate on behalf of senior leaders in EAGP through written and verbal communication channels.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential gifts and records management transactions with integrity and compliance with university policies.
  • Capture relevant communications in the university's system of record and generate reports on inquiry trends for senior management.
  • Collaborate with university colleagues to provide comprehensive support to constituents.
  • Acknowledge and resolve constituent complaints tactfully, employing problem-solving skills.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent certification.
  • 3 years of relevant experience.
