About the position

The Alumni Program Manager at NAT-SU Healthcare is responsible for developing, managing, and executing a comprehensive alumni services program. This role focuses on maintaining connections with former clients, providing ongoing support to ensure their long-term success and well-being. The manager will oversee alumni engagement activities, including outreach, events, digital engagement, support groups, and program development, fostering a sense of community and sustained recovery among alumni.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a comprehensive alumni services program that aligns with NAT-SU BHS's mission and goals.
  • Develop annual plans and budgets for alumni services, ensuring effective use of resources and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve program offerings based on alumni feedback, needs assessments, and emerging best practices in alumni support and recovery.
  • Develop and distribute branded marketing materials to engage alumni and promote program activities.
  • Utilize digital outreach tools for virtual meetings and surveys, coordinating pre-discharge meetings with alumni.
  • Organize and facilitate weekly Wellbriety Zoom meetings and monthly in-person meetings to provide consistent support for alumni.
  • Develop and coordinate weekly aftercare groups focused on life skills and ongoing support.
  • Plan and execute monthly alumni activities, securing venues and managing logistics.
  • Manage an alumni-specific Facebook group, developing a content strategy to maintain engagement.
  • Monitor and report on participation rates for all activities and conduct annual impact assessments to evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Develop and manage a detailed budget for the alumni program, identifying potential grants and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Work closely with other departments and external organizations to ensure a coordinated approach to alumni support.
  • Stay current with best practices in alumni support and program management through ongoing professional development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, Counseling, Public Health, or a related field preferred.
  • Active Case Management Certification is highly required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in program development, case management, or a related role, preferably in a behavioral health or recovery support setting.
  • Experience working with individuals in recovery from substance use disorders and/or mental health challenges.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of American Indian cultures, traditions, and community resources is preferred.
  • Proficiency in digital tools, data collection, and database management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and with external partners.
  • Commitment to confidentiality, empathy, and client-centered care.
