About the position
The AM Caregiver position involves providing essential support to elderly individuals in their residential care settings. The role focuses on assisting with daily activities, promoting independent living skills, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. Caregivers are expected to work collaboratively with co-workers and families to ensure the well-being of the residents.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to individuals in their residential care settings
- Assist with daily activities such as personal hygiene and daily incontinence
- Encourage participation in activities to promote engagement
- Implement and support individuals in developing independent living skills
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment
Requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work as a team or independently
- Knowledge of basic caregiving techniques and practices
- Experience with behavior management and crisis intervention
- Must have reliable transportation
- First Aid & CPR certification is a must
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in crisis intervention
- 1 year of caregiving experience preferred
- CPR and First Aid Certification preferred
