About The Position
We are hiring for the position of Amorphous Former at our Antioch, Illinois location. This is a full-time role on the 1st shift, which runs from 7 am to 3 pm. The primary responsibility of the Amorphous Former is to organize the process flow of the amorphous core forming area and actively participate in the hands-on assembly of core laminations and tooling. This position requires a strong focus on general material handling and maintaining an organized work area to ensure efficiency and safety in the production process. In this role, you will be responsible for forming amorphous cores according to specific work orders, ensuring that all company rules and production processes are strictly followed. The job involves hands-on assembly using various tools such as hammers, clamps, and banding tools. You will also monitor the dimensional quality of the amorphous cores to ensure they meet the required specifications. Material handling is a significant part of the job, including loading cores onto the Amorphous furnace rack, which is essential for the production process. This position is critical to our operations, and we are looking for individuals who are detail-oriented, capable of following instructions, and able to work effectively in a team environment. The Amorphous Former will play a vital role in maintaining the quality and efficiency of our production line, contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing operations.
