About the position

The Associate Manager of Member Service at the National Exchange Carrier Association Inc. plays a crucial role in supporting U.S. local telecommunications companies by ensuring accurate data processing, enhancing member satisfaction, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations. This position involves collaboration with member companies, analysis of cost studies, and providing education on NECA processes to improve overall service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze, and collaborate on the approval of cost studies, forecasts, and carrier access bills.
  • Maintain close business relationships with member companies and monitor their needs.
  • Analyze and resolve discrepancies in monthly data processing and ensure accurate revenue distribution.
  • Educate member companies on NECA processes and systems to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Function as region coordinator for specific activities.
  • Assist in researching issues and respond to member companies needing information.

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High proficiency in Excel.
  • Ability to develop and maintain working relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Customer focused.
  • 3-4 years of experience in Accounting, Cost Analysis, Customer Service, Data Analysis/Management, or Telecommunications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Carrier Access Billing, Separations, Regulatory, Tariff Development, and Training.
