About the position

As an Amazon Delivery Station Warehouse Associate, you will be an integral part of the dedicated Amazon team at the delivery station, which serves as the final stop before packages are delivered to customers. This role is fast-paced and active, requiring you to receive trucks full of orders and prepare them for delivery. Your responsibilities will include loading conveyor belts, transporting, and staging deliveries for drivers to pick up. You will be expected to utilize technology such as smartphones and handheld devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders efficiently. In this position, you will also be responsible for building, wrapping, sorting, and transporting pallets and packages. Physical capabilities are essential, as you will need to lift up to 49 pounds and perform various physical tasks such as standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching throughout your shifts. You may also be required to navigate stairs and work at heights of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine, depending on the specific location and role. The work environment at an Amazon Delivery Station is dynamic, with moving machines such as order pickers, stand-up forklifts, turret trucks, and mobile carts. You will experience varying temperatures, which can range from 60°F to 90°F, especially in the truck yard or inside trailers on hot days. Noise levels can be high, and hearing protection is provided if necessary. The dress code is relaxed, but safety is paramount, requiring comfortable, closed-toe shoes, and in some cases, protective safety footwear. Amazon offers a variety of shifts to accommodate different lifestyles, including overnight, early morning, day, evening, and weekend options. You can even work four-day workweeks with three-day weekends. Responsibilities

• Receive and prepare inventory for delivery
• Use technology like smartphones and handheld devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders
• Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and packages
• Lift up to 49 pounds as needed
• Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
• Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around
• Go up and down stairs (where applicable)
• Work at a height of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine (where applicable)

Requirements

• Candidates must be 18 years or older
• Ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines in English
