Amazon Fresh Grocery Associate - Oak Lawn, IL

About the position

The Amazon Fresh Grocery Associate role is focused on delivering an exceptional grocery shopping experience for customers. Associates are expected to engage with customers, provide product knowledge, and assist with various store operations in a fast-paced environment. This position requires flexibility in scheduling and a commitment to customer service.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and engage in friendly conversations to understand their shopping needs.
• Offer product recommendations and provide information to assist customers in making product-related decisions.
• Use cash register to process customer transactions and assist in self-service checkout lanes.
• Receive and process in-store and Amazon.com returns.
• Prepare fresh food items such as cold salads, pizzas, rotisserie chickens, and sandwiches.
• Stock shelves and produce, set up merchandise displays, and maintain a clean sales floor.
• Unload product deliveries and organize stockroom.
• Pick items to fulfill customer grocery orders for pickup and delivery.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to understand and perform duties safely in English.
• Must have a high school or equivalent diploma.

Nice-to-haves

• 1+ year of customer service experience.
