About the position

The Amazon Fulfillment Center Warehouse Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring that customer orders are prepared and shipped efficiently. This position involves various physical tasks in a fast-paced environment, including selecting, packing, and shipping orders, while adhering to safety and quality standards. Associates will work in different areas of the warehouse and may operate powered industrial trucks, contributing to the overall fulfillment process for Amazon's services.

Responsibilities

• Receive and put away inventory
• Get customer orders ready and pack them up
• Load boxes into trucks for shipment
• Use scanners to read bar codes on products
• View prompts on screens and follow the direction for some tasks
• Troubleshoot problems
• Ensure product meets quality requirements
• Operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as a forklift or pallet driver
• Work at heights up to 40 feet
• Lift up to 49 pounds
• Push utility carts up to 60 pounds
• Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
• Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around
• Go up and down stairs (where applicable)
• Adhere to strict safety, quality, and fulfillment production standards

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines in English

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a warehouse or fulfillment environment
• Familiarity with operating powered industrial trucks
