About the position
As an Amazon Fulfillment Center Warehouse Associate, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for preparing customer orders. This role involves various physical tasks in a fast-paced environment, including selecting, packing, and shipping orders, ensuring quality standards are met, and operating powered industrial trucks. The position is seasonal and requires working specific shifts.
Responsibilities
- Receive and put away inventory
- Get customer orders ready and pack them up
- Load boxes into trucks for shipment
- Use scanners to read bar codes on products
- View prompts on screens and follow the direction for some tasks
- Troubleshoot problems
- Ensure product meets quality requirements
- Operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as a forklift or pallet driver
- Work at heights up to 40 feet
Requirements
- Candidates must be 18 years or older
- Ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines in English
- Ability to lift up to 49 pounds
- Ability to push utility carts up to 60 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
- Ability to go up and down stairs (where applicable)
Nice-to-haves
