About the position
As an Amazon Fulfillment Center Warehouse Associate, you will be an integral part of the Amazon warehouse team responsible for preparing customer orders. This role is fast-paced and physical, taking place in various areas such as merchandise, make-on-demand, customer returns, Prime Now, and general fulfillment. Your primary duties will include selecting, packing, and shipping orders, including those for our super-fast delivery service that promises delivery in two hours or less. You will be expected to receive and put away inventory, prepare customer orders for shipment, and load boxes into trucks. Additionally, you will utilize scanners to read barcodes on products and follow prompts on screens to complete tasks efficiently. In this role, you will also troubleshoot any issues that arise and ensure that all products meet quality requirements. Operating powered industrial trucks (PIT), such as forklifts or pallet drivers, will be part of your responsibilities, and you may work at heights of up to 40 feet. Training and certification for equipment operation will be provided at no cost to you. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 49 pounds, push utility carts weighing up to 60 pounds, and perform various movements such as standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching during your shifts. You may also need to navigate stairs and work at heights on a mezzanine when applicable. Adherence to strict safety, quality, and fulfillment production standards is essential in this role.
