About the position

As an Amazon Fulfillment Center Warehouse Associate, you will be an integral part of the team responsible for preparing customer orders. This role is fast-paced and physical, taking place in various areas of the warehouse, including merchandise handling, make-on-demand services, customer returns, Prime Now, and general fulfillment. Your primary responsibilities will include selecting, packing, and shipping orders, sometimes for our super-fast delivery service that promises delivery in two hours or less. In this position, you will receive and put away inventory, prepare customer orders for shipment, and load boxes into trucks. You will utilize scanners to read barcodes on products and follow prompts on screens to complete tasks. Troubleshooting issues and ensuring that products meet quality requirements will also be part of your daily duties. Additionally, you will operate powered industrial trucks (PIT), such as forklifts or pallet drivers, and may work at heights of up to 40 feet, for which training and certification will be provided at no cost. Physical demands of the job include lifting up to 49 pounds, pushing utility carts weighing up to 60 pounds, and standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching during shifts. You may also need to navigate stairs and work at heights on a mezzanine. Adherence to strict safety, quality, and fulfillment production standards is essential in this role. The work environment at an Amazon Fulfillment Center is dynamic and includes working around moving machines such as order pickers and forklifts. Safety is a top priority, and protective gear is provided. The temperature in the warehouse can vary, and it can be noisy at times, with hearing protection available if needed. The dress code is relaxed but requires comfortable, closed-toe shoes, with Amazon providing a $110 gift code for shoe purchases to ensure you are prepared for your first day.
