About the position
As an Amazon Picker Packer, you will be an integral part of the team at the delivery station, responsible for preparing orders for delivery. This role involves receiving inventory, using technology to sort and scan orders, and ensuring that packages are ready for drivers to pick up. The position requires physical activity, including lifting and moving items, and offers flexible shift options to accommodate various lifestyles.
Responsibilities
- Receive and prepare inventory for delivery
- Use technology like smartphones and handheld devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders
- Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and packages
- Lift up to 49 pounds
- Receive truck deliveries
- View prompts on screens and follow direction for some tasks
- Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
- Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around
- Go up and down stairs (when applicable)
- Work at a height of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine (when applicable)
Requirements
- Candidates must be 18 years or older
- Ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines in English
